Hudson, NY – The Hudson Literacy Fund is proud to share the success of its recent Summer Fundraiser, which raised $2,500 in support of literacy programs for students in the Hudson City School District.
The gathering, held in the warm and welcoming space generously donated by Upper Depot Brewing Co., was a true celebration of community. Friends, neighbors, and supporters came together to enjoy delicious food from Whale Belly Food Truck and craft beverages from Upper Depot—all in support of helping Hudson’s children become confident, lifelong readers.
“We are so grateful to everyone who showed up, gave what they could, and shared in this joyful evening,” said Christian Trimmer, President of the Hudson Literacy Fund.
“Literacy is a gift that opens doors for children, and every dollar raised helps us put more books in their hands,” added William Blowers, Treasurer of the Fund.
Board member Sarah Reidy expressed appreciation for the many local businesses who contributed to the silent auction: “A big thank you to Spotty Dog Books & Ale, Batterby House, Hudson Ferry Co., Hudson Wine Merchant, Jamestown, The Maker, Mikel Hunter, Neverstill Wines, and Todd Farrell’s Car Care Center for their generous donations.”
The Hudson Literacy Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, works closely with local educators and families to ensure every child in Hudson has the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
