Scholarship Winners: Osiris Hamilton, Anthony Cozzolino, Shalisa Wright
The Hudson Literacy Fund proudly recognized three graduating seniors from Hudson High School at a special Senior Night celebration on June 6. Each student received a $500 scholarship and a copy of Papilio, the acclaimed graphic novel by Ben Clanton, Corey R. Tabor, and Andy Chou Musser (Penguin Random House, 2024).
This year’s honorees—Osiris Hamilton, Anthony Cozzolino, and Shalisa Wright—were selected under the guidance of the Hudson High School English Language Arts (ELA) Department for their academic growth, dedication to literacy, and meaningful classroom engagement.
The Hudson Literacy Fund chose Papilio as a symbolic gift that celebrates transformation, creativity, and the joy of reading—reflecting the organization’s mission to promote literacy for all Hudson students.
“These scholarships are about more than financial support,” said Christian Trimmer, President of the Hudson Literacy Fund. “They are a recognition of each student’s journey as a reader, a learner, and a young adult ready to step into the world with confidence.”
Senior Night is a cherished tradition for the Hudson Literacy Fund, reinforcing its commitment to educational opportunity and student success. The scholarships are made possible through generous community donations and annual fundraising efforts.
